Bath Architecture 2008 aims to encourage intellectual exchange on architectural issues and promote high standards of architecture and urban design in the City and surrounding areas. The opportunities to conserve, improve, re-create and add to the life of the City and its beauty are considerable. In the present and next decade much of the historic City and substantial areas, both within its existing containment and perhaps beyond, will be re-developed or built for the first time.

THE BIG DEBATE! Monday 23rd November 2009 Bath Architecture 2008's next event, in collaboration with the Holburne Museum of Art, is a debate entitled “Bath’s Heritage was created by Bath Architects - the City does not need Architects of international reputation to create its Future Heritage” The proposition will be put by Bath architects Aaron Evan and Edward Nash and opposed by Internationally renowned architects Eric Parry RA and Sir Richard MacCormac. On this occasion, the event is open to the public with tickets available on the door (£5 entry fee) and is being held at St Swithin’s Church on the Paragon in Bath on Monday 23rd November - 7:00pm start. |
